You will need to add that service to your google account. You will then be allocated a google analytics (urchin) account number. The web address to sign up is: www.google.com/analytics
Upon successful sign up, google will generate the code for you to use, and you will need to extract the acct number from that code:
<script src="http://www.google-analytics.com/urchin.js" type="text/javascript"> </script> <script type="text/javascript"> _uacct="UA-XXXXXX-X"; urchinTracker(); </script>
where UA-XXXXXX-X is your urchin acct number. |

Hi Jinjguo, Make sure you set the xurchinstats to yes in admin...see the instruction below:
How do I set up Google Analytics in my VP-ASP site?
Setting up your VP-ASP to be Google Analytics ready is easy!
Simply login to your Administration and go to the Setup tab.
In the search box, enter the word urchin.
Two entries will appear on your screen - xurchinstats - Set this to be Yes, to turn on the Analytics tracking code. xurchinacctno - Enter your Google Analytics account number here.
Click the Continue button at the bottom of the page. Your site is now Google Analytics enabled!

i use 6.05 and i had set the adminstration setup. but in google analytics, it show : "Tracking Unknown (Last checked: 2007-04-11 10:23 PM PST.) The Google Analytics tracking code has not been detected on your website's home page. For Analytics to function, you or your web administrator must add the code to each page of your website. " |

Three days later, it's resolved. maybe i should wait google analytics to do this itself. |

Just set up the goals section in Analytics.
Will this fill out the ecommerce section or is this separate?
