I've got a bit of a problem. The site im building uses frames.(I know the simple solution is not to use frames, but my client prefers frame)
So my problem is when prompt to click to return to the home page. I get the home page within the content frame.
is there a solution around this?

Hi,

I would suggest modifying your shoppage_header.htm and shoppage_trailer.htm files to be blank rather than including the usual navigation menus, table formatting etc.

In your header file just leave the reference to the stylesheet so the styles are carried across, and and open the body tag, and then in the trailer file close the body and html tags.

This is assuming you will be using your existing site's navigation and no longer want to use the vpasp navigations

give this a shot and see how you go

we had a similar problem once, and we used the following format for links that need to break-out of the frame:

javascript:parent.document.location='yourvpasppage.asp';

Thanks for both of your comments.
I will give it a shot. The thing is that the return to home page. Is dynamically displayed by vpasp. ie "xhome" setting.
So devshb would i paste your code into the "xhome" setting?

cheers

not sure; it depends on the nature/structure/content of the inner+outer frames that are being used.
