If I am correct, it appears the Top Seller list displays data form the "cname" field in our database.

What change is needed to modify the Top Seller list to display the "cdescription" field?

Hi Packard40,

You can change this but it looks a bit tricky.

If you open shopproductsubs.asp and do a search on the word cname you will locate in the sub routine "TopTenProduceDetail" the cname references you need to look at.

There are a number of them as the translation function is also in here for the cname.

I have not tried this but you could try altering the cname referneces within this sub routine from cname to cdescription and seeing if this works.

Let us know how you go as it would be interesting to see if it works.

Dear Scooter...

Yes, it was a bit tricky. Worked perfectly!

For others: I copied and pasted the "TopTenProduceDetail" sub-routine from shopproductsubs.asp into a new text file; Next I did a search for "cname" and replaced it with "cdescription"; Lastly I pasted the routine back into shopproductsubs.asp and moved it to my server.

In case anyone wants an easier-to-change/add top-seller function, our "product showcase" addon comes with a top-seller function where you can use different templates for each call, and have lots of other options on it too:
