Hello,

Does anyone know how to go about removing all mention of shipping from the 6.X check out process? We have a "membership" purchase which requires no shipping what-so-ever, yet shipping fields and text abound throughout the check out process.

Now to answer our own post:

Change the language in langship01 and langship02 so it doesn't say anything about shipping (we used "Please enter your Credit Card billing address" etc.)

Then make Xshippingselection = NO

This removes the drop down for shipping completely.

Hope this helps someone else someday.

Still not completely removed:

On the final checkout page - just before payment page - this appears at the bottom:

Cannot locate shipping record
Select * from shipmethods where shipmethod='Normal post' and shipcountry='other'

Never ending - here is the last bit to make this work:

First go into:

Admin Home - Advanced - edit tables

select "shipmethods" table -

delete all but one entry -

in the one entry - in "Shipping Method*" field enter "No shipping needed"

NOW

Go into your shop config (SET UP) and go to "shipping."

Make sure xfixedshippingmethod = "No shipping needed"

It must be exactly the same text.
