I have had a scenario for quite some time that I am finally dogging to fix. From Shopdisplayproducts, if someone selects a product and then goes to view cart, they are taken to shopaddtocart just fine. However, if they return to shipdisplayproducts to shop more, and don't select any items, but select to go to view cart - it errors to shoperror.asp with the message "No Products Selected"

It's as if the session variables are lost, but they are not. If they select something in the page it goes to shopaddtocart just fine, and display the contects of the cart.

Any suggestions here?

Hi there,

Can you make sure the URL in the address is identical. For example you may have a full coded link in the address bar for one page and in the next page you are missing for example the www from the front of the link.

http://www.yoursite.com/shopaddtocart.asp

Click a products link which is hard coded it may display as:

http://yoursite.com/shopdisplayproducts.asp - note the www is missing.

The URLs need to be the same throughout the site.

Hope this helps,
Cam

indeed; cam's point is a good one, and it's relevant to any site/domain, and not specific to vpasp.
we've created an addon which can help deal with this aspect automatically for you, it's our "Domain Tools" addon which has lots of bits/settings/functions in it that can help avoid dropped sessions without you having to change all your links:
