I have MySQL 4.1.7 Server installed on Win2003 Web Server.

I have installed VPASP, created the DB and given the dbUser full access priveliges.

<//------
const xDatabase="shopdb"
const xdblocation=""
const xdatabasetype="MYSQL"
const xSQLUser="dbUser"
const xSQLPwd="dbUserPassword"
const xSQLServer="Localhost"
------//>

i get the following error when trying to submit convertmysql.asp

<//------
[Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] Data source name not found and no default driver specified

DRIVER={MySQL}; Server=Localhost; Database=shopdb; UID=dbUser; PWD=dbUserPassword
------//>

get same errors on diag_mysqldbtest.asp

Hi,

Try setting xdatabasetype = "MYSQL351" instead.

This tells VP-ASP to connect using more recent MYSQL ODBC drivers.

Do you have the MYSQL drivers installed?

They can be downloaded at:

http://mysql.netvisao.pt/downloads/connector/odbc/3.51.html

After install click on odbc from control panel > Administrative Tools

and click add and click Mysql and then put in MYSQL information.

Just worked for me.
