First post on these forums so hi all

Looking for some help with Categories, don't know if i'm being stupid but is there a way to display a different layout for each category?

I've set:

xcategoryusetemplate = YES
xcategorydisplaytemplate = tmp_categorytemplate.htm
and then "Reload Shop Configuration" just to be sure.

I've managed to modify the "tmp_categorytemplate.htm" so it is the way i want it, but i have other categories and subcategoies that i would like to display different.

I tried adding a different category template name to the "Template file" field when adding a new category, but it seems to ignore this and use "tmp_categorytemplate.htm" for all of them.

Any help or advice would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance,

Reiss

When the file shopdisplaycategories.asp is viewed there is only one template which can be used: tmp_categorytemplate.htm
If you modify this template it will change the way all categories are displayed on shopdisplaycategories.asp.
If you want to change the way the products within a category are displayed (shopdisplayproducts.asp) you can add your own template file to the category Template File field
