After logging into the VPASP Shopping Cart Control Panel, I have to login again after not using it for a minute or so.

Is there a setting to allow it to keep me logged in until I log out?

You might like to try increasing the value of xsessiontimeout in your shop administration configuration page.
This will allow you more time before your session times out.
