We've created a new addon that will allow you to add links on your product templates to an image-zoomer/viewer. The image-viewer allows you to zoom in/out, rotate, and move the image(s) about. You can also use up to 4 images per product and the customer can switch between the images by clicking on thumbnails on the viewer.

This addon includes the image-viewer/zoomer itself, plus all the surrounding code (the links to call it, and the window, and the flash file, and all the associated template-processing). All the vpasp integration has been fully documented in the readme file and all relevant code supplied so that you just follow the installation steps and then add the new template-field to your template(s).

If you've already got the BigYellowZone extra-template-fields addon (BYZ033) then you only need the new template-fields/files and image-zoomer (BYZ075) which you can get from here:

http://bigyellowzone.com/shopexd.asp?id=91
(this shows an example on that page)

If you haven't got the BigYellowZone extra-template-fields addon (BYZ033) yet then you'll need the new template-fields/files (BYZ075) bundled together with our generic extra-template-fields addon, this bundle is BYZ076:
http://bigyellowzone.com/shopexd.asp?id=92
(this shows an example on that page)

There are many applications for this add-on and we are very open to people's suggestions that they might come up with after they've bought/tried it, so if anyone buys it and finds they want/need any tweaks, please email us and we'll consider adding them to the generic addon and send out free updates to people who buy it within the first 3 months.

Here's more details....

Enable image-zooming for your products, or allow multiple additional images for products, or both.

This product includes an image-zoomer, where your product images can be shown in a popup window using flash, and your customers can zoom in/out, rotate the image etc. As well as the viewer itself, it also includes all the relevant functions to call the viewer by using vpasp template fields.

It also allows you to have up to 4 of these zoomable images for each product, using thumbnails in the popup.

The addon will check the physical existence of your zoom image file, and then automatically show a link to the zoom popup page if the image exists. It then checks for the existence of the corresponding other 3 files related to the image and displays thumbnails if appropriate so that the user can switch between the images.

For the derivation of your zoomable images, you can use any product column, so you can use it as a zoom for your standard enlarged images, or a zoom for other images, or you can just use it to display additional images, or a combination.

You can display the link as an image, a button, or a text link (or a combination), and all those types are fully configurable.

We've just made some enhancements to this addon; we've changed it so that you can use any number of additional images (ie there's no limit now), and also made it so that all the corresponding thumbnail files are automatically checked (and used on the side if they exist) too.

This latest version has now been uploaded to our site and is now part of the standard addon:

We've now made more enhancements; we've created a new template-field that can be used to show the multiple thumbnails on the product page. You can see this new field in action in the pages:

Hi Folks I integrated Magic Zoom into the VPASP template to allow you to easily display your product images in incredible detail. Users do not need to click anything - they just move their mouse over the image to see every detail of your product!

Out of curiosity, How many of these Add-On's are going to work with VPASP Version 700?

There alot of add-on's that would be usefull, but compatability would have to be considered>

Thanks

Chip

Hi Chip,

As soon as we have a version ready we will be providing BYZ a copy so they can update all of their modules to be compatible.

Some will become redundant but most of their modules will still be great add-ons to use on your site.

Thanks
Cam
