by default, the customer login is last name and e-mail address.
Is there a way to configure this so that they are given a password, or come up with a password themselves? I know the last names and e-mail addresses of many people. I don't think it should be that easy to view someones order history.

change xpassword to yes
you may also want xcustomeruserid yes
