Has anyone integrated any java or flash menu other than the java menu that vp-asp supplies to display the categories? If so, please advise what you used.

I was using the java menu supplied by vp-asp and it slowed down the loading of pages anywhere from 3 to 10 seconds on any pages that used the java menu supplied by vp-asp. Has any else who is using it noticed any slow downs?

I contacted vp-asp about it and they said they supplied it as is, and have no further plans to change it.

I really like the java menu because I use sub-categories and it makes it nice and easy to navigate.

Everyone, please tell me your thoughts.

Thanks,
Brian Weber

I have used JavaScript menus created by Xara Webstyle, at www.xara.com, but I cannot tell you that it has or has not adversely affected performance.

We have worked on a few different styles of menus. Stated working with Project Sevens TMM menu system and have that working from the admin dynamically.

http://www.yourvirtualstore.net/development/os500

Current project is building a menu that is list based and run straight from CSS.

We are bulding these as additions to our OxfordStreet package.

This is a sand pit site so excuse any errors you find. :-)

Thanks!

Hi

I am currently constructing a site using opencube www.opencube.com. Unfortunately, this is a commercial menu system and has to be bought

A sneak preview of the site and menu systema can be found at http://www.scraptastic.co.uk/shop/index.asp

The menu also reads the categories t produce automatic dropdowns

Regards

Alan
