If you're a UK-based business who's using VP-ASP and sending out physical products to your customers, then hopefully you'll find our Royal Mail Addon for VP-ASP extremely useful. It works in a similar way to how the other shipping addons (eg fedex/ups etc) work, and is very well documented, configurable, modularised, and easy to plug-in/setup.

You can get it from:

http://bigyellowzone.com/shopexd.asp?id=37

Here's some of the features....

Highly configurable, and incredibly easy to implement into your vpasp site.

Handles 1st Class, Surface Mail, Airmail and Airmail with Airsure.

Gives your customers a choice of delivery methods and prices specific to their delivery location worldwide.

Fully customizable descriptions - Allows you to name your delivery methods e.g. "Express" instead of "Airmail with Airsure"

Select delivery methods by pop-list or radio button.

Currency conversion - Convert Royal Mail values easily to whatever currency you use on your site.

Allows easy implementation so you need not change your product weights - Works in grams or kilos.

Zero Weight Pricing - Sets a default price in case you forget to enter a product weight.

Additional Base Price - Adds a fixed amount automatically to the calculated value so that you can mark-up your shipping to cover packaging costs etc.

Up to date prices - Take the hassle out of Royal Mail price increases by downloading free price updates from us.

Test facility to check Your Settings - Comes with a test page that allows you to check your settings and prices by submitting specific weights and countries, simulating an order-form submission.

I bought this add on last week, and its so easy to use. I can now charge accurately for our shipments based on the current UK & International services offered by the Royal Mail. A big pat on the back for the guys at Big Yellow Box, this shipping addon is a must have for UK web traders.

If anyone needs/wants this for v4.5, just email me and we'll step-up development/finalisation for that, as it's a very small change.

We'll automatically be sending out updates to this addon (as per our other addons) for vpasp v5.5 when that comes along too for anyone who's bought the addon(s), so you don't need to worry about "will this work when I buy v5.5?" either.

Also, feel free to try out our demo version which uses the same Test facility that comes with the addon:
