I understand their is the default template file for generating Product Static pages; tmp_generate.htm.

But what is the template file that is used to generate the index.htm?

there isn't one; it's all just done directly by the asp code in shopa_generatehtml.asp.

The key functions in there if you want to change the format of the index file are:

WriteIndexHeader
and
WriteIndexRecord


WriteIndexHeader is run once, and this is what creates all the html code up to just before it starts to add the product links.

WriteIndexRecord is run once for every product, and this is what creates each product link line.
