We have some 5.0 VP-ASP stores up, which we have registered and everything is set up properly. All runs smoothly. But there have been some incidents where a store will suddenly start giving the "this software not properly registered" message. It's fixed easily by reloading the shop configuration.

It doesn't happen that often, but often enough to become a problem. Frankly, it's embarrassing. Even though it's a quick and easy fix, I might not notice the problem for a long time, and during that time I don't know how many people might visit the site and get that message. I want to know what causes it so I can do whatever I can to prevent it.

The FAQ does not address this issue.

Hi Jennifer,
For an issue such as this, I would contact VPASP Support directly via their help-desk. There is a link from bottom of the list on the following page:

http://www.vpasp.com/virtprog/vpaspsupport.htm

Thanks

Graeme

This will occur when the server where the site is hosted is being continually rebooted.

To get the site running again you need to reload the config.

I believe support do have a fix for this one as Graeme mentioned.

Thanks,
Cam
