When I progress an order to shopcreateorder.asp a message appears at the top saying:
Payment may be made by credit card or check.
I want to change the check to cheque, this also occurs at the next stage in a dropdown box shopcheckout.asp
I have searched the launguage files for 'check' and cannot find it in that context.
I have opened up both asp files and cannot see it.
Does anyone know where it resides please?

I think you are using VP-ASP 5.0 and you search in the language table.
Go to shopadministration and Languages -->Edit Language, select caption and tyoe what you getting over there. You can edit the language caption the way you want.

Hi Phil,
It appears to be in 2 places in the shopping cart:
1)
shop$language_english.asp, ~ line 106:
LangCreate02="Payment may be made by credit card or check."
2)
Admin/Config Language tables:
id - 91
lang - English
keyword - langcreate02
caption - Payment may be made by credit card or check.
I would edit the one in the admin panel first and see if that does the trick. Just be sure to reload your shop configuration after you update, and before you check that checkout page again. If nothing there, try the language file I mentioned above.

I have amended the launguage files again and uploaded, added laungage and reset. Seems ok now.
Still cannot find where check occurs at the next stage in a dropdown box payment methods in shopcheckout.asp

You also have a list of non credit card payment types under xotherpaymenttypes that could be displaying the information your refering too.

Hi Phil,
As Greg mentioned, there is a list of options in the xotherpaymenttypes config variable. You can access it via the admin panel >> Configure Shopping Cart >> then search for 'xotherpaymenttypes'. Whatever is in that field will be in the dropdown list you mentioned.
