I have a question with rendering JavaScript at the product detail page. I have read the following http://www.vpasp.com/virtprog/vpaspforum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=1524
and understand that it is simply a text file that is parsed with a superrjammy find & replace.

So here is my question...

How can I call external javascript files .. a la
 <script language="JavaScript" src="/includes/myjava.js"></script>

from the product detail page? and/or Does the template file prohibit the use of JavaScripts from executing?
Additionally, ( and maybe this could be a somewhat similar question ) is there a way to externally call an asp include file that can process a few functions??

My questions stem from some demo code I am trying to work through and don't know where to go.
I have a product detail page http://www.outsideintranets.com/fashion/shopexd.asp?id=24 that produces no errors, no javascript errors, etc. Now if you click on "Details" in the red section, nothing happens.

Now, an identical page at http://www.outsideintranets.com/fashion/test/tmp.asp ( if you do a view source you'll see ) has the functionality that I am looking for.

Any way to get this working on the shopexd.asp?id=24 page??

Thank you!!!

JP

PS....
I have even successfully implemented CAM's example from here
http://www.vpasp.com/virtprog/vpaspforum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=80 which helps me get ASP coding to execute on a product detail page, but for the life of me I cannot get the JavaScript to execute.
I have narrowed it down to an if clause in my
jp.js
script.
It is menuReadyState, a value that is built in to the script, and returns true or false for whether the popup code has finished compiling and is ready for use.

Would anyone know why the browser would think the code isn't ready to use here -->> http://www.outsideintranets.com/fashion/shopexd.asp?id=24
but it is ok here --->> http://www.outsideintranets.com/fashion/test/tmp.asp ???

JP
