Has anyone implemented anyform of RMA systems, either direct with vpasp, or as a standalone product?

I am looking for something where customers will request to return something stating the reson, we approve/disaprove the request
if approved an RMA number is sent with return instructions, when we get the items back we change status messages so the customer knows the progress through the system!

This could be done by using the same logic as Tracking. Enable user write on Tracking Message. I think with less modification to tracking we can get RMA/RA module with VP-ASP.
I might work on this later this month how it work.
