Hello...I logged onto my sytem and am having this problem when I try to edit a product.

I noticed if I take out the word compat it allows me to edit my products. Did I turn something on or alter a settingby accident?

The file name you mentioned -- shopa_addproductcompat.asp -- isn't part of the VP-ASP shop files. Did you create that file? If you did, and are using that in place of the correct/original file for adding/updating products, which is shopa_addproduct.asp, then you will need to change some things in the code in that file. If that's the case, let me know and I can point you in the right direction.

Is there a reason you are using that different file instead of the original?

All the best,

Here is the answer we got from support:

shopa_addproductcompat.asp is only used in version 4.5 if you have
xoldcategorymode set to Yes. xoldcategorymode should only be used if you upgraded from version 3.5 or earlier. If you did not upgrade your store from version 3.5 or earlier then xoldcategorymode should be set to No.

Hope this helps anyone looking for this in the future.
