If a purchaser chooses Other Payment options in shopcheckout.asp it eg fax
it creates an order, sends emails AND diminishes Stock Levels through shopthanks.asp.
If the customer never faxes then stock levels are out for merchant which could cause significant overstocking problems.
Alternatively if purchaser is directed to shopmailform.asp instead it does not generate emails, or a visible order number but does not affect stock levels.
Problem is it does not generate a visible order number for purchaser
(though it does show in Orders in admin area) therefore making harder for merchant to recognise the order in the system when it does come in.
shopmailform.asp also does not work with affiliate, gifts vouchers etc.
I am unsure what to do for the client. This is my last step before the
site is complete and ready to go live.
Any constructive thoughts out there.
