I set the code from the manual on my shoptax.asp page to read from the "Pother1" field. This field now holds my sales tax for certain items. Some items are not taxable. The problem I am having is that the routine runs well except for the fact that it calculates the tax for the product weather it is an IN STATE or OUT OF STATE item.

I am in NJ so only NJ residents pay sales tax on certain items. If a user from PA or CA buys an item they are charged the sales tax as well and therein lies the problem.

I should be able to only charge NJ sales tax to the residents of NJ and not to the entire country. This was working great until I used this code or routine but I have to charge for only certain items for sales tax.

SO right now I am charging every one the sales tax unless it is a NON TAXABLE item.

ANy help is sincerely appreciated.
thanks
dan
