Check out this example using aspNetMail which can send an HTML formatted Invoice to your purchasers or to those who requested an on-line price quote or estimate too. This ASPNETMail is an amazing little product to say the least.
Called Sending a User Control via eMai... http://www.aspnetemail.com/samples/EmailUsercontrol.aspx
I might be adding this functionality to VP-ASP if there is enough demand. http://www.21stCenturyInc.com/portal
Later I will combine it with our SFA/CRM and the Rich Text Box Control as a sort of Contact Manager Console to allow single or batched eMails with Mail Merges, File Uploads as Attachments, insertion of GIFs and JPGs and personalization of the message via Mail Merge.
Check out our complex SFA/CRM system:
http://www.webshipments.com/portal
You can license this application for $2,195.00 for unlimited users and we can host it for you on our servers using SQL Server for about $75/month.

That would be neat. Would it be available for regular asp, or only for asp.net?

VP-ASP support sending out HTML formatted mail. It can send out 1. HTML order confirmation messages 2. HTML bulk mailing 3 HTML mail merge.
This requires the Option Package.

Howard, You are absolutely correct, I stand corrected there. But if you wanted to actually send out an exact image of the Displayed Invoice, the Shopping Cart Page with embedded Images, the Order Confirmation Page or any other page then this send User Control function from ASPNetMail would come in very handy. They also have an eMail blaster already written in ASP.NET as well. Of course this requires using a host that has the full ASP.NET framework installed but we have had great luck with this one: http://www.DiscountASP.NET Only $10/mo for ASP.NET framework and $10/mo for a SQL Server. Check them out.
Plus a neat ASP.NET transitional system to move from ASP to ASP.NET which does SQL Reverse Engineering into an n-tiered Business Layer, UI Layer, Data Layer and the Database is here:
http://www.esolutionspr.com it is called Iron Works and it is what I have chosen to move to ASP.NET
It actually generates the SQL Stored Procedures at the end after it generates the ASP.NET code in either C# or VB.NET
Sample generated .NET application is at: http://www.esolutionspr.com/IronWorks/T4SD I believe. You will all love this Iron Works application, trust me on this. It is better than Deklarit, Raptier and Tangible-Engineering.com's Tangible Developer Product.
Just trying to give something back to the VP-ASP community and not trying to steal your thunder Howard. Keep up the good work.
Regards, John
