I have my VP-ASP shopping cart setup in a sub folder called shopping. I want to use the main default.asp page as the top level home page for my web site as a whole. I have been using a basic html page placed at the top level as the home page, but I want to change that to get visitors directly to the shopping page when they first get to my site. What is the best way to do this?

I tried copying the default.asp page to the top level root, and changed the referenced location of the shop$db.asp in the following code from line 3 of default.asp to this.
<!#include file="shopping/shop$db.asp"-->
The page opens with just minimal content, and I get an error saying this.
Cannot read/Templates/default/tmp_default.htm

Are there other edits needed to the default.asp page to make it work from a higher level directory than where the shopping cart is installed?

You can use iframe if the top level root using static html. Or refer the following helpnote:

Also please ensure that you have correct setting on "const xmysite" in the shop$config.asp file.

forexample: const xmysite="http://www.yoursite.com/shopping/"

you can find shop$config.asp file is on config and admin directory

i ever did the same way, moving my store from folder to directory root. it''s easy actually, i only need to do a simple change with my shop$config.asp file to change the xmysite config
