Hi,

Anyone using SEO with vpasp mobile templates?

I recently enable SEO on our site to test the SEO Friendly URLs. The desktop site looks fine but our mobile site is having some issues with images and links to product pages.

The images are not loading even though the path for images on desktop and mobile is the same (e.g. images/tshirts.jpg). The URL for product on desktop and mobile is also the same (https://www.mysite.com/products/1-tshirts/12-blue-tshirt/).

Link to product pages seem to be working fine on desktop but on mobile the path is entered twice.

For example:

Actual working path on desktop: https://www.mysite.com/products/1-tshirts/12-blue-tshirt/

On mobile: https://www.mysite.com/products/1-tshirts/products/1-tshirts/12-blue-tshirt/

Can someone help me with this?

Thanks!

Faisal Ali

Hi Faisal,

Not sure which mobile store you are running but if integrated then maybe try putting this in the shoppage_header.htm of mobile under the <head> tag:

<%generatebaseurl%>

If this does not work it may need a more detailed look by our techs in the helpdesk.

Thank you.

Hi Cam,

Thank you for a quick response. Your suggestion worked and fixed the issue.

I have another issue with category titles on our mobile site default page.

The titles have a hyphen '' - '' instead place of space when SEO is enabled.

For example:

Actual category titles (on desktop with SEO enabled): All products
On mobile (with SEO enabled): All-products

How can I fix that for our mobile site?

Thank you for all your help!

Hi Faisal,

Is this on our hosted mobile or your own mobile store?

We would need to have a look at the code if an externally hosted store for this issue.

Thank you.

Hi Cam,

I fixed the issue by modifying the name string in shopproductsubs_mobile.asp.

Thank you for your help with this! Much appreciated!
