We''ve been using the same version of VP-ASP for over 10 years without an upgrade. I looked for the shop$version.asp file to find out which one we have, but couldn''t find it. I did however find shop$config.asp file which had this line at the top:

VP-ASP Shopping Cart Database Configuration 4.50

My question in any case is, will it be safe to install the latest version over one that is over 10 years old?

Hi Martin,

I would make a back up of your database and do a couple of test upgrade runs to make sure everything goes smoothly before upgrading your live database.

The Upgrade Wizard will walk you through the steps but best be safe before playing with your live data.

You can run the Upgrade Wizard on any version newer than VPASP 3.5 and earlier.

Hope this helps!

Thank you.
