Hi all,

Does anyone know how to make it possible to add movie code from 3rd party video hosts such as Brightcove?

From my understanding, on the shopa_addproduct.asp page, you can only paste the pathway to a raw video file, but you cannot add information about the video player style etc as below:

<!-- Start of Brightcove Player -->
<div style="display:none"> </div>
<!-- By use of this code snippet, I agree to the Brightcove Publisher T and C found at https://accounts.brightcove.com/en/terms-and-conditions/. -->

<script language="JavaScript" type="text/javascript" src="http://admin.brightcove.com/js/BrightcoveExperiences.js"></script>

<object id="myExperience1772919358001" class="BrightcoveExperience">

<param name="bgcolor" value="#FFFFFF" />
<param name="width" value="480" />
<param name="height" value="270" />
<param name="playerID" value="1768181940001" />
<param name="playerKey" value="AQ~~,AAABnGwKmcE~,PYMSBxTOCYwq9bsbBWP1x-QM83ajD0aD" />
<param name="isVid" value="true" />
<param name="isUI" value="true" />
<param name="dynamicStreaming" value="true" />
<param name="@videoPlayer" value="1772919358001" />

</object>

<!-- This script tag will cause the Brightcove Players defined above it to be created as soon as the line is read by the browser. If you wish to have the player instantiated only after the rest of the HTML is processed and the page load is complete, remove the line. -->

<script type="text/javascript">brightcove.createExperiences

Anyone attempted something simular / or have an idea please?

All suggestions welcome at this point!

Hi,

I think the best way to display the video on a product page is to create a template for that product using tmp_product.htm as your base eg create a file called tmp_prodVideo.htm
Add your external link and styling into this template
Then upload the template to the server and add the name of the template to the template field in the product record (shopa_addproduct.asp)
I've done this a few times and it seems to work ok
Regards,
Carrol
