Hi
Does anybody know how to eliminate the product count in front of every category in my store?

http://www.rointy.com/shopdisplaycategories.asp

Also anybody knows how to eliminate the three dots from the name of the category?

Thank you

Edwar Delgado

Hi Edwar,

To remove the (0) number of products in the categories you will have to open template file:
tmp_categorytemplate.htm

look for and comment out this code:
[AddNumberSubCats SUB]

Save and close file.

To stop the " . . . " displaying you will have to open file: shopdisplaycategories.asp
find Sub FormatCategory (id, name)Find the following line:
Response.write "<a href=""shopdisplaycategories.asp?id=" & id & "&cat=" & Server.URLEncode(name) & addwebsesslink & """>" & name & "...</a>"
Remove the 3 dots highlighted in red.
Save and close file.

Hi Carrol

This did not have the desired affect on my install. I even tried to find the code inside shopdisplaycategories.asp to see where the URL was being built and adding the "(XX)" after the category name but could not find anything.

Sorry, I'm still using v6.50 of the cart. Perhaps this has been changed for v7
