Hi - Is it possible to Password Protect a page via the Page Manager?
Basically, the site had customer logins turned off, we don't use them.
However, we have created a page in the Page Manager that just has content in it that we want to secure via a password. There's no ecommerce needed etc. It's just to password protect a url.
Any ideas?
Thanks |

Hi there,
If you have disabled customer logins then it will most likely require customisation to be able to protect just one page unfortunately.
If you need a quote please feel free to post a request in the helpdesk.

Simon from BYZ may have a module already though as well along these lines.
Thank you.

Hi,
We do have a generic asp "password protect" module in our internal library (it's what our sqlserver size-checker/column-mover addon (byz120) and sqlinjection scanner (sqi127) used as a base for their password protection because those are generic asp addons).
ie where you basically just have a single password which you tell certain people (and which you can easily change when you want), and then you add an include to the asp files that you want to protect with that pwd, so that whenever someone visits that asp screen/file, it comes up with a pwd prompt if you haven't already entered it for that session.
We never released it as a proper module/addon because the header/trailer etc for it, and the exact part that you add the include in your main asp file, will depend on what pages you're using it on, so we just use it as a base but the "installation" of it is always a customisation job (albeit quite a simple/small job)
