Hi everyone,
I am confused on how the taxes work.
If I have a tax amount listed in the shopstate table (ex: Ontario 0.15) then the cart taxes the products and shipping at that rate.
But if I want to tax by product and I set the product amount to .05 (but still keeping 0.15 in the shopstate table), it still taxes both product and shipping at 0.15
And lastly, if I clear out the 0.15 from the Ontario table, the cart finally falls back on the tax-by-product and charges the appropriate 0.05 percent....unfortunately though, it doesn't charge the tax on the shipping at all.
So...how can I tax-by-item and tax the full tax on shipping?

dus, i think i read your previous forum post, i dont think it is possible if you have activated the tax by product, it will use pother3 field value as the tax rate and the state tax will be ignored. maybe can only work with customisation job.
