Working in VPASP 7, and the delimiter used for the drop down options box is a comma. Is there an admin option to change this from a comma to a semi-colon?

The db updates that are given to me are done in comma seperated values and I am not able to change that to pipe or semi-colon. My only option is to change what delimiter vpasp from comma to semi-colon.

Anyone know of an admin option for this or a file to alter the code?

Thanking you in advance

Dustin

Hi Dusty,

you could try this -
open shopproductfeaturesgenerate.asp in a text or html editor

Find the line of code (line 42 approx):
Feature_array = Split(strFeatures, ",") ' get feature numbers

And change "," to ":"

Not sure if this will work, haven't tried it out yet.

Hi Dusty,

Sorry, I think I've got the wrong end of the stick here. Which dropdown options do you mean?

Hi Carrol,

Some of our products vary in size/colour. The option box that lets them choose which size/colour of product they wish is the one that in our old version of vpasp was delimited by a semi-colon.

Thanks for helping me with this

Found it :)

Thanks Carrol! You guided me in the direction I needed

The line I changed was near 429

Parray = split(strSelectList, ",")

to

Parray = split(strSelectList, ";")

It works perfectly.

Thanks again

Dustin
