Hey, I know they have add on called Order Number Start, you can download it to use from vpasp.com.

Thanks I appreciate that.

I now see I have other problems than just starting an order number, here's my problem.
If I'm Importing orders from another database how do I stop VP-asp 7.00 From overriding the existing order numbers.

Can you help with this.

you need to find our the range of your vpasp order id , start from what id number and end at what id number (last page), then find out the range of your other database order id.

Can you tell me of this ?

Diego.

Old database Starts at 32 ends at 1248
New database starts at 1 ends at 408

Is there a way to put up a new database containing all my original records using Access.

Thanks

I have idea for you but unsure if this will work.

my idea is :
- use Order Number Start in your old db, then make it to start from says e.g. 410
- once it is completed, the old db will be starting the order id from 410 to the end.
- import the old db to the new db.

so :
new db starts from 1-408 then old db imported data into new db will be started from 410 to the end says 1248 in sequence.

will this work ?
i sugges you to backup before try my idea just to avoiding something bad happens.

Diego.
