Hi. I am trying to start an installation from scratch (due to upgrading causing more problems than what is worth investing more time into). Problem is, step one: checking folder permissions brings up a "status unknown" response for all the folders. I can't move on to the next step until this is resolved.

Any ideas?

Hi there

You need to ensure that you set REA/WRITE permissions on the folders in the store directory.

The Install Wizard requires this as there are a number of updates it needs to make through the process.

You can see more information on setting permissions in our QuickStart Guide:

http://www.vpasp.com/virtprog/quickstart.pdf

Hope this helps.

Thank you.

Well, got it to finally check the permissions but they are all failing.

Cute FTP is telling me that the folders in question are 777 so I am not sure what else needs to be done if read/write/execute is showing to be correct from the FTP program

Ignore the previous post. While my ftp tells me one thing...the server tells me another. I found that i needed to log into the hosts control panel to make the changes. Permissions are working.
