This is an option:

xallowratingsummary Yes/No
Display summary of ratings when displaying a product. When using templates add the control [add_ratingsummary]

I thought version 7 automatically uses templates??? So why say if you're using tempaltes...?

It seems there's a lot of references like this...it's confusing.

Hi there

You can actually turn the product display templates which is why there is the reference.

If xproductwithhtml = No then it will just use the default layout.

Thank you.

I don't understand this sentence:
You can actually turn the product display templates which is why there is the reference.

Do you mean you can turn them on? What would this do?

I guess I don't understand what product display templates are.

Hello,

You can see the difference of using product template (default) and not using template by enabling or disabling this config "xproductwithhtml" from your administration and see the changes at the page shopdisplayproducts.asp.

The info about "When using templates add the control [add_ratingsummary] ", is when you are using product template (xproductwithhtml set to Yes) so that you can add it somewhere to your template file the snippet [add_ratingsummary].

I hope this helps.
