Hello,
I am having the following problems with BYZ164 and related modules.
1) It creates on two directories on our website and I am not sure why it decides to do only two. 2) It creates file for directories that have a hidden value in the database.
I have been trying to get in touch with Big Yellow Key by e-mail and Skype but have not been successful in over a week. Has anybody experienced this problem and have a solution?
Ken

We've now looked into this; it was just a config setting that needed tweaking, and a re-run afresh of the byz164 set-data, create-folders, create-files stages; seemed to work ok after that.
In case anyone else is curious, byz164 generates static shopdisplaycategories.asp?id=x and static shopdisplayproducts.asp?id=x pages; it has an option on it whether you use a format like:
mysite.com/cat1/cat2/cat3.asp or: mysite.com/cat1-cat2-cat3.asp
(where cat2 is a subcat of cat1, and cat3 is a subcat of cat2)
the first option is "D" (for directories) and the second option is "F" (for files) (the default is "F").
confusingly for everyone (including me, as I sometimes temporarily mis-read that option too), "File" and "Folder" both start with the same letter, so when you read the config file you can quite easily see "F" and assume it means "folder", whereas in this instance "F" means "file" and "D" means "directory". The config file does have comments in it explaining it next to the option, but it's all easy to just scan the config file without reading the notes fully, especially when you see an "F" and are thinking "Folders" in your head, which most people probably would.

Hi Simon, I'm also having problems contacting yourself and www.bigyellowzone.com via email - I've also sent a couple of emails over the last week and had no read receipts/replies - is there a problem with your email? Regards Jamie |

H Jamie,
I've just spotted that; my boss (adrian) has now forwarded me a copy of it, I'm replying to it now. My email seems to have dropped some stuff recently (or put things into my spam folder), and my skype messages are also having problems (some of them simply don't get through, or when they do get through they come through a few days after they were sent, especially skype for some reason which is often making new messages appear a couple of days late if at all). I'm not sure if it's an isp problem (it might well be; I use a different isp than adrian does). Email/skype is generally unreliable anyway though, so raising a support ticket on our site would normally be the most reliable way (although, I only find out about updated tickets on the support system via email too; we can see new tickets but it doesn't show new-updates to existing tickets easily). anyway; quite a lot of stuff seems to have gone awol recently on my email/skype front, so I'm chasing it all up today to bring us back ontrack.
