There is a field in the Db called "LangFreeShippingMessage" it is also mentioned in the "shop$language_english.asp" file
I have been searching the user manula and design guide and database design guide and nowhere is there any reference to this. I would assume that when an item is free shipping it sould say Free shipping somewhere on the page. Is there a way to get this to show up at all

The only mention of Free Shipping is on Page 19 of the database design document that shows a field labelled Freeshipping in 'Products' that means a Product has free shipping.

Also just found some basic info in the User Guide on pages 159, 175, 244 and 258. Free Shipping (freeshipping)
Setting this to Yes means the product is excluded from shipping calculations. During checkout process, gift certificate will be handled as free shipping item. So the shipping form will not be displayed in the shopcustomer.asp. With the new VP-ASP 7.00 version, Gift Certificates and Electronic Products will not be included in any shipping calculation, and will be treated as free shipping. If an order only contains products designated as "Free Shipping" then the "Shipping" section on shopcustomer.asp will not be displayed. It would therefore suggest thatthe addition of basic logic that says if Freeshipping = yes then display "message" will cure the problem.
