Hi All,
I turned on email authentication to stop people spaming from the server and order / tracking emails are being sent to the customers, however since doing this the email set in xemail which is a duplicate of the confirmation order email is not being received to that address!
Can anyone help.

OK, it seems from the mail logs that its trying to send the email to the xemail address from the order email address, obviousley this is NEVER going to happen as that email address is not authorised to send from the server.
This needs to be changed, any idea where?

Have you contacted your web host about this issue?
Generally when a spammer forges your email address this is due to your web host not having SPF enabled on their mail server.
The following describes this in further detail: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sender_Policy_Framework
It would be worth checking with your host to ensure that this is enabled for you.

Hi
I think your missing the point. The point is the server is so secure vpasp cant send the order email to its own address / domain as it tries to make the email look like its coming from the order email and the server rejects it.
I want to change this so it comes from the VPASP email.
Order emails to customers are fine, its the email to ourselves that doesnt get through.

Hi Mark,
we had this problem with our mail server too, it wouldn't accept mail from our own domain, but as far as I remember we didn't have to change any of the settings in VP-ASP (v6.50) we literally had to train the mail server to accept the emails by sending a load of test orders and adding our domain address to the white list. I think we did this about 6 times before the mail came through directly to the inbox. I'm not sure if this helps but perhaps the support guys would be better at answering this one.
