We just finished our Google Base data feed which accommodates up to a
10,000 character HTML enabled and encoded product description, an image URL and miscellaneous user defined customized fields using the preferred XML file format. This might be the only Google Base Data Feed compatible with the VP-ASP shopping cart which supports the full 10K size for an html based product description which is the maximum allowed by Google. We are licensing it for $59 per site and including our Google Site Map routines in the formal SiteMap.xml format as well. eMail me at: [email protected] for purchase information.

Here is the truncated example output for a single product. A system with 4,000 products at 10K bytes of HTML description per product would create a Google Base feed of something over 40MB. They accepted our feed as is, lock stock and barrel on the very first pass.

This year is my 10th Anniversary as a VPASP consultant. Suggestions made to Howard Kadetz which were adopted as part of the core VPASP system include the VeriSign Gateway which I actually debugged and validated, the Snitz Forums Application which you are using right now, and ChiliSoft ASP for MySQL and Linux. I have been developing both ASP, ASP.NET and SQL Server Applications for the same timeframe and my clients have included: United HealthCare, Bank of America, Sirius Satellite Radio, Sovereign Bank, Boston University Medical School, EMC Corp., TJMaxx Stores and several other Fortune 100 or Fortune 500 Companies.
