Have a client with USPS realtime shipping and they repeatedly (and seemingly randomly) keep running into issues with orders that have low shipping totals. Just caught one today that was shipping 40lbs coast to coast for $8!
I think I have finally figured out what is happening, but I haven't come up with a fix yet.
Try adding an item to your cart and follow through the checkout process up to shopcreateorder.asp. Now jump back out into a product category and add on some more goodies (maybe some fairly heavy ones just for fun). Roll back through the checkout process and see if the dollar amount on uspostalrealtime.asp changes. The weight listed updates, but apparently the actual shipping costs are cached up in a variable that doesn't get cleared out?
Maybe adding a reset for whatever variable(s) they are would do the trick?
Anybody else able to replicate this? |
