I'm converting a site from StoreFront v5 to VPASP, currently I just finished building the CSV file for importing the 1200 products and have no idea how to make sure they go into the correct categories without having to manually do each and every product.

The manual doesn't show a name (cname, ccdoe, etc...) for the categories so I'm a bit lost.

Any ideas?

Hi,

in your csv file make sure you have a ccategory field (for the top level category for the product) and a level3 field (for any subcategories)
In the ccategory field put in the product's top level category id. In the level3 field add the category ids of all the categories that you want the product in, separated by a comma.
Import your csv file. You will now have to upload and run the file convertproducts.asp (it's one of the files that you will have deleted before going live with your site) When you have run the file remember to delete it from the server.
For more info on category imports see this link:
