On our new system (VPASP 4.50a) for UNIX, running on Win2k and MySQL,
I've encountered the following problem 3-4 times already:
While entering data (to create categories and products)I've generated an ODBC error, obviously due to the use of illegal characters in the data fields.
So far I've identified the following illegal characters but a complete list as well as reminders on the screens would be helpful:
1) Do not use the dollar sign in the product price field.
2) Do not use a comma, ampersand, or apostrophe in the category
description field. But it is ok to use the hyphen.
