Still running v6.08 here, heavily customized and does what we need. The problem is that we use PayPal IPN and for the past six weeks or so, we are having problems where orders are placed, payment information taken by PayPal and VPASP is reporting that the transaction failed, while the PayPal payment goes through just fine.
Has this been happening to anyone else? Is my hosting company maybe having some problems and just not being reachable from PayPal? Any thoughts or great ideas would be appreciated.

Dear John,
Generally this happens because of the following :
1) Paypal took a while to send a silent notification to your server and thus the cart are not able to validate the order.
2) Paypal are not able to send the silent notification to your server due to incorrect URL setting on paypalipnconfig.asp
If you open the file paypalipnconfig.asp, you will notice the following line :
const PAYPALMYSITE="xxxxxxxxxxx"
You just need to make sure that the value of PAYPALMYSITE has the exact same value as xmysite or XSSL if you are using SSL. You can check the value of xmysite by going to your administration page, select Set-Up and search for "xmysite".
