Hello,

Could VPASP confirm what MSSQL version the VPASP 6.50 will support. Currently, MSSQL 2005 is supported. What about other latest versions e.g. 2008.

Thanks

Hi Alex,

VPASP does run with SQL 2008. While we have not carried out full testing for 650 and earlier we do have customers using it without issue.

If you run across any problems please feel free to post in the helpdesk and our team will look at any problems for you.

Version 700 is being fully tested using SQL 2008 however.

Hope this helps.

Thanks
Cam

Thanks Cam. Are there any problems to run the 6.50 on IIS 7.0?

Cam,

Would advise if the MSSQL 2005 database name run on your servers can be changed without major overhaul of its content.

Cheers

Hi Alex,

I am a bit lost as to what you are asking? Do you mean can an existing SQL Server database name be changed on our hosting plans from one to another?

Or do you mean field or table names?

Thanks
Cam

I meant database name not table or file name. Whatever database name is set on your server I want to have named differently. What complications are in relation to vpasp files that reffering to that name, how many of those that need to have that references changed.

Hi Alex,

You can call the database whatever you want. Just update the shop$config.asp file so it points to the relevant database and away you go.

No other files need updating.

Thanks
Cam
