I have a store that only sells PDF downloads. Occasionally the customer doesn't return to the thank you page from PayPal so they don't get a download link even though they have paid.

I haven't been able to work out how to send them a link manually to correct the problem.

I tried to issue a Gift Certificate but when i test this the order goes through OK but does not offer a download link. Can Gift Certificates not be used for Digital Products?

Is there a better way to send a customer a Link to download the product?

Hi there

In the View Order Details section there is a link which says Finalize Orders.

If you click this it will generate the thank you email as if the customer had landed on shopthanks.asp so all normal processes will be carried out.

If the links should appear as a download you might send them an email with instructions on how to access the customer management section and from their view the order detail to download any files.
