I'm a bit lost as to how this is supposed to work.

I have no need to list products in multiple categories so I have xcategoriessimple set to yes. However, unless I have an record for each product and its relevant category in the prodcategories table then when using the Search function the product is not found. The products do show up when clicking on the category tree.

It would seem to me when using xcategoriesssimple that I should only be required to have an entry in the ccategort field in the products table, true?

For an example go to

http://www.kaufmancatalog.com

and click on the Batteries category, then try a search using the term 'battery'.

Hi,

Cannot test on your site, you have set to force login. However, could you please ensure the search field is include in xsearchfields. Please check the value, is it include the field cname,cdescription so that it will search for those fields.
