Currently my client's cart is configured with PayPal standard, but I'd like to switch her over to PayPal IPN, but I had a few questions:

1. Does it make the checkout process more seamless (less pages and no jumping sites)?

2. Is it more secure?

3. Does my client need an SSL certificate to use it?

4. Any other insights/caveats to it's use?

Hi there

Only PayPal Pro allows you to retain the custoemr o nyour site throughout the checkout process.

PayPal IPN is a better way to go than PayPal Standard however.

No SSL certificate is needed for IPN.

I would recommend swapping to IPN straight away as it is a much better system than just the standard.
