I'm trying to integrate PayPal standard into one of our sites, but I'm having problems with the autoreturn in Paypal.

I've set the autoreturn to shopthanks.asp (and turned it on), but Paypal doesn't go back to our site automatically, the user still has to click on the "return to merchant" button.. Am I missing something?

I don't want to use the WP Pro at the moment just standard (there is a good reason).

Found the answer to this on the PayPal help:

If you turn on both PayPal Account Optional and Auto Return, new PayPal users will not be redirected to your website automatically, but will need to click a button to return.

Hope this helps others.

Where are these two options located? I guess I don't quite get it.. if you have both of those options turned on (which seems like something you would want...), then the customer DOES NOT get automatically returned ? Or only NEW paypal customers don't get returned? Argh. What a goofy system..
