What are the VP ASP 6.5 freedoms with an Access Database on image file names and sizes in the product record. In particuclar:
* are spaces allowed in the file names,
* is there a maximum file name length,
* are both - and _ valid characters in such file names,
* is there a constraint on file size (other than load speed)?

Any clarification would assist.

Hi there,

You should not have spaces in files.

The field length the image is entered into is 100 characters by default. So you need to ensure that the filename and the folder path are combined less than 100. You can extend this to 255 by changing the database fields if you need more room.

You can use _ however - may cause problems in some browsers but it should work.

Most servers have a file upload size of about 200kb. This can be adjusted however. Our servers allow 5mb file uploads by default for example.
