I m using V-ASP v6.5 on the left hand side the Categories menu(navigation menu) is always empty nothing comes from the database although all the necessary settings are done.

Can someone help me please?

Without seeing the code and settings, i.e. without being able to ftp to your site and log in to the admin it is going to be very hard to help with this. Your best bet is to submit it to the help desk.
