How can you remove the "Cancel Order" button on the credit card payment page. Where it is located right now - directly before the credit card information - is confusing and some of my customers have accidently hit that instead of the "continue" button.

I think it stored on the shopcheckout.asp file at line which says:

Displaycancelbutton

you can modify it , into :

'Displaycancelbutton

Be careful when removing any cancel button, as you are not giving your customers a chance to change their mind or change what they are ordering.

This can have 2 effects -

1 - you seriouslyp off your customers and they go away never to darken your doors again
2 - Your credit card processor may not like it and may insist you have a method for the custmer cancelling.

I agree with Steve, best not to remove the button at all, but perhaps you could place it further down the page after the card details display. I wouldn't be a happy shopper if I wasn't allowed to change my mind (and being a woman, this is very important )

yep; ditto; I'd move it rather than remove it. definitely does need moving in my opinion though, it is way to easy to press it by accident where it is by default

you need to be careful when moving it though, so that it's still embedded in the right place in relation to the form tags

To move it further down the page easily and without messing with form tags you could change
Displaycancelbutton
to
response write "<br><br><br>"
Displaycancelbutton

That would shift it down a few lines.
