Hi VP-ASP Adminners.
Some of you may have noticed a pop up login request when trying to log into your admin. This was our fault as our site when moving was set to secure mode so the news module which is called from our site was also in secure mode.
We have now fixed this so all is good again. This was part of our server migration that has been finally completed as well.

14 September 2007 - New modules released
We are pleased to announce we have released a new free module and updated an existing one to provide more functionality.
The first module is the Currency Conversion Rates Updater. This great new add-on allows you to have your currency conversion rates automatically updated so your conversions will always be correct.
We have also updated our ASPpeg add-on so you can now upload an image through the admin, modify, resize and rename while uploading AND create a thumbnail of the image on the fly as well!

19 June 2007 - Beat Chargebacks with VP-ASP Fraud Alert Add-On
Have you ever been the victim of a chargeback?
A Chargeback is where you receive an order and your bank comes back and says the order was fraudulent and takes the money paid to you out of your account and gives it back to the card holder.
VP-ASP Fraud Alert analyzes online credit card transactions from various angles and uses a range of checks to identify if the purchaser is the legitimate card holder.

10 May 2007 - Security Advisory
Recently, there has been a higher than usual incidence of VP-ASP sites being targeted by hackers.
The most common issue occurring is that the hacker is attaching a Javascript call to items in the VP-ASP database that may be executed on your customer's computers.
When fully patched, VP-ASP is a highly secure application. Hackers are having to use more and more sophisticated means of getting into sites and our defenses are constantly evolving to handle this.
Your best defense is to upgrade to the latest version - VP-ASP 6.50 - and ensure you have followed all of our security measures and have all security patches in place.
We highly recommend the following -
1. Upgrade to VP-ASP 6.50
We strongly recommend you consider upgrading to VP-ASP 6.50, as it has been totally rewritten to ensure it has the highest levels of security built in.
2. If you are not going to upgrade, ensure you have all fixes applied to your site.

3. Check your categories table
In your VP-ASP administration, go to the View/Edit Categories page.
Search the catdescription field for the term "<scrip" (no quotes).
If you find any instances of this, you need to remove the "<script>" tag and we recommend you contact us through our helpdesk at http://www.vpasp.com/virtprog/helpdesk.
4. Run a virus scan over your computer

26 April 2007 - New Add-On
We have just upload a cool new add-on that allows you to add a "lightbox" zoom to your extended description pages. When the customer clicks the image on your extended description, the larger version of it is zoomed and the st of the page faded out. It's really easy to install and is VERY impressive!
